In the fall of 2008, The Gloria Eve Scholarship fund was created to directly benefit dancers enrolled in the program. Scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors to apply toward tuition, books or fees. Other awards include dancers enrolled in the program who will receive an award toward their dance education at Gloria Eve.

We started off this year by collecting small donations in the lobby of the studio by parents and visitors. We then collected further funds at our 2009 Year-End Production. This year we collected $350 in donations toward the fund. Gloria Eve will be donating $600 to the high school graduates and $500 to current Gloria Eve Dancers who have been chosen by the Staff on Talent, Attitude and Parental Support/Involvement. These dancers will remain anonymous. There will be new students chosen annually. In addition to the in-house scholarships, Gloria Eve plans to award two Graduating Seniors who will major in Music, Theatre or Dance at an accredited four-year college or university a $1,000 scholarship.

The awardee will be chosen based upon an interview and performance. The amount awarded to Gloria Eve Students and non-GE students will be based upon amount collected toward the fund. Help get these numbers up for our children! Support Gloria Eve School Events and Fundraisers, check with gift-matching programs at your jobs, and refer Gloria Eve to perform at local events for a small donation; we do not charge; we only ask for a contribution. Our 2010 Scholarship Fund Goal is $8,000. We Can Do It! 2009 First Annual Scholarship Fund- Graduating Seniors are: Kayla Barcliff, Tekeisha Busby, Jazmyne Garvin, Marc Lyn, Anniece Miller and Chinyere Adaku Nnodi.
